About
Arborology was setup in 2005 by Russell Hodson. Having spent 15 years in the Information Technology arena, it was time to step off and re-evaluate the quality of one’s life. Spent a couple of years taking time out to be at home with our children. I then got the urge to go back to work, But what does one do, certainly did not want to go back to the IT arena. Having always enjoyed being outside, I decided that was a critical factor, also having always played with ropes and pulleys, climbed rock, mountains and trees. The next step was logical. Climbing trees for a job. Went back to college at Askham Bryan College (York) and studied an National Diploma in Forestry and Arboriculture. Completed this in July 2007. Now the fun begins. I now get to climb trees, play with large power tools and spend my time in natures fair office. Jobs a good’un and the rest is history.
